Sydney’s late night economy is an important contributor to the City, financially and culturally. The City’s nighttime economy is estimated to be worth nearly $18bn/year. It employs more than 30,000 people.
But many people feel that Sydney has lost is nighttime mojo, and we agree.
Sydney needs a vibrant and safe nighttime economy that appeals to all ages and interests. Angela Vithoulkas believes that there is scope to introduce policies and plans that encourage targeted growth backed by sound safety principles. This is an issue that requires multiple levels of Government to collaborate in order to achieve a positive outcome for the City of Sydney.
