Councillor Angela Vithoulkas recently spoke to AltMedia about a proposal from March last year to begin webcasting council meetings. In May a 12 month trial was put forward but never followed up. Last week the first meeting of the new council took place, and webcasting was not even on the agenda.
Speaking to Cityhub, Councillor Vithoulkas said: “The Lord mayor has dragged her heels over this, it’s certainly an issue that my ex-Liberal colleague and I were in support of. The Lord Mayor had opposed it and previously voted it down.”.
