By Resolution of Council of 25 March 2013, it was resolved that, with regard to the proposed referendum for constitutional recognition of Local Government as detailed in the Minute by the Lord mayor, Council request the Chief Executive Officer to include in the 2013-2014 budget funding for payment of a special levy totalling $36,316.36 over three years plus GST .
The Lord Mayoral Minute also stated, “The levy will be refunded if the referendum campaign does not proceed.”
Local Government Referendum is not proceeding.
